The Einzel Kocher EK750OB is designed to fit into an Alpkit Mitymug* or similarly sized Mug/Pot capable of holding a 100g Gas Cartridge. The Stove/Mitymug combination weighs 270g approx, this can be reduced to 212g approx by using the included Foil Scorch Guard/Ash Tray rather than the Metal Base cap and by removing the Firebox cap, both weights include the supplied Stuffsack. Depending on weather conditions and when using a close fitting lid and an efficient windshield the Einzel Kocher 750OB can bring 500ml of cold water to a rolling boil in as little as 8 minutes using little more than a handful of dry wood. The Einzel Kocher EK750OB utilises an open base design which allows you to store the Pot Stand and a Light Foil Windshield* while still allowing the firebox to be used for storing tinder, matches etc or compact alcohol stove* for use as a back-up in the event that a supply of dry wood cannot be obtained. A consequence of this design is that you need to use a separate ’Ash Tray’ although as the stove is extremely fuel efficient the ash is almost entirely in powder form.
